spiritualized – sweet heart sweet light – hey jane
j spaceman returns with his seventh album next month and the first single from sweet heart sweet light and it’s accompanying video live up to high expectations. their songs are notoriously long and “hey jane” follows suit, making it the perfect vehicle for a narrative short. the video is a grim, yet gripping slice of life following a transwoman and her son with quite the ending. enjoy.

spiritualized – ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space – come together
it’s 1997. the brits release their third and easily their most acclaimed and best album. after spaceman 3, jason pierce found the most success with his work from this album. this song and the accompanying video are definitely two all time faves from my beloved spiritualized. j spaceman wears the orange suit well. rumor has it, he’s set to release a seventh album this year. here’s hoping.
