yes, that’s right, two songs kids, and videos to boot. what i wouldn’t have given to be in miami last night for the start of radiohead’s american tour. not only did they play two new songs, but they finally played “meeting in the aisle”, which is a fantastic b-side from 1997. both new tunes will make any fan weak and wet. www.ateaseweb.com
the band’s 1986 demos have been floating around for a hot minute, but when the new music flow is slow i find myself going back to their uber lo-fi demos and smiling a big one. they were called on a friday back in the day and were bouncy and ever loveable. there’s no better day to enjoy thom channeling his best morrissey than on a lazy sunday. check the rest of the demos on at ease.
we are screaming. very very loudly. hearts are beating very quickly. it’s been 13 years since pulp has played in the states. that’s it. we can’t say anymore. we are too busy screaming. www.facebook.com/coachella
it’s 1998. the band releases their third album in 1997 and this gem was their third single the following year. this video is one of their most memorable to date. who doesn’t remember what thom yorke’s face looks like in a plastic bubble filled with water? if you’ve forgotten, here’s a reminder.
i officially love the new radiohead album. a good thirty or more listens later, it’s really found it’s place in my heart. this is the video they released on friday morning with the the release of the album. if you are not one of the millions of people who’ve already seen it, it’s just thom dancing and twitching in his usual way, but really, do you need more?
i’m sure most of you are chewing up the new radiohead album. this is my favorite song on the short, mostly electronic the king of limbs. if you have hesitated at all, don’t. it gets better with each listen, as most of radiohead’s album do. i’ll shut up, so you can get listening. here’s to a weekend of radiohead. www.thekingoflimbs.com
we’ve all been waiting for news about the new radiohead album and today, out of nowhere, the band announces the release of the king of limbs. hoorah! it will be digitally released this saturday and the hard copy, newspaper album will be out may 9th. newspaper album? yes, 2 10″ clear vinyls, a cd, artwork, and a digital download. the hard copy will be $48, but i’m sure worth every penny. www.thekingoflimbs.com
