joy division – atmosphere

it’s 1980. i’ve got my jean jacket on and i’m headed to see raging bull. probably not the best movie to see as i’m still bummed about the assassination of john lennon and feeling crappy, but i love robert deniro. i must be asking for an emotional beating cause i’m almost done with stephen king’s firestarter and feeling a bit anxious now too. well, it’s deniro or parton in nine to five. tough choice. at any rate, i gotta get out of the house cause all my parents are watching is that new channel, cnn, and it’s ronald reagan this, ronald reagan that or news about the middle east going to war. that sadam hussein guy looks scary. although i did see that richard pryor got burned trying to freebase cocaine. sad, but kinda funny? oooh, maybe there won’t be a line for the new pacman at the arcade by the theater. i am sick of this rubik’s cube. i have no idea how to solve it. not a clue. hopefully when i get back my parents will be sleeping and i can watch saturday night live. the new guy eddie murphy is pretty hilarious. i could use a good laugh, i’m sure. if not, i guess i can finish my book and listen to some joy division. poor ian curtis.
