the canadian duo teamed up with han xia, a film student they met while on tour a couple of years ago, and filmed this poignant video in china. it follows the day in the life a young street cleaner who’s perfectly endearing and if you didn’t already need a humble reminder of the blessings of life, here’s one anyways. enjoy.

the married montreal duo released another single from their upcoming album, sound kapital. the synths are heavy and awesome on this track and the vocals are reminiscent of his vocal stylings for former band, wolf parade. that’s a good thing folks. the album art for the album is just like this track, dirty and provocative. the album is out next month. www.subpop.com/artists/handsome_furs

canada’s wolf parade announced at a show in toronto last friday that the group was playing their last show for a while that night… faces fell i’m sure, like mine, when i heard the news. one of the band’s frontmen dan boeckner told their fan site the group was taking an “indefinite hiatus”. whatever indefinite means, i am one sad pumpkin. luckily boeckner’s rad side project handsome furs is releasing a new album next year, but wtf wolf parade, wtf…
