gorillaz – tomorrow comes today
it’s 2001. damon albarn and jamie hewlett create the hippest virtual band ever. move over alvin and the chipmunks and hello 2d, murdoc, noodle, and russell. it’s one hell of a debut and their videos prove to be equally as impressive. in light of their latest single, i’ve been prompted to revisit their early stuff. ne’er a bad tune.

gorillaz featuring andre 3000 and james murphy – doyathing
converse commissioned this crazy collaboration. the bunch recorded for three days in london and i’m sure swapped stories we’d all hurt a loved one to be privy to. the song’s parts are better than the whole, but it’s such a fun project and ultimately such a fun song, it’s weekend worth for sure. www.converse.com

it’s all true. the new gorrillaz album is daaa bomb. no need to flourish here. if you are the only person who hasn’t it heard it yet, my goodness, go get the album. in the meantime, here’s my favorite.
