i could not be a happier bloke with the re-release of crystal castles’ “not in love”. the original is on their latest sophmore album, which i have loved immensely and will love until their next one comes out. on this new version, they got sir robert smith to sing the lead vocals. oh yeah, you read that right. this version will come out as a single next month. it’s an oh my god kind of song, which means, it’s really frackin good. this is definitely a treat and one hell of a way to start off the month. www.myspace.com/crystalcastles

i have been listening to their new album all month and it’s ridiculous and getting even more ridiculous as i’m wearing out my speakers with it. this album could have been a failure with all the concert canceling, madonna t-shirt controversy, and what nots. there was real concern of it being a hot mess. but fuck that. it’s a bloody brilliant noisy fuck you, i’m awesome, kind of album. i heart you crystal castles.

can you believe it’s been two years since ” vanished” was playing at every corner you found yourself in? the band has announced a new album just in time for us to hope for another unforgettable summer smash hit of a song. in addition they are releasing a 12″ with three tracks they recorded pre-”vanished” and a new single called “doe deer” april 17th. the 12″ is a limited release of 500 copies, so good luck to ya for those who want to possess it. the new album is set to release in june.
