this canadian super group recently released their fourth album and there ain’t a fool around town who don’t know it’s da shit. this fan-made video for this instrumental track, which was made in reaction to june’s g20 summit in toronto, is nothing short of ‘you should watch this’ level good. the band certainly made it the official video for the song for a reason. enjoy.

broken social scene also releasing a bonus ep with new record

not only will bss fans get a whole new album, forgiveness rock record,  from this righteous band in a couple of weeks, but they have announced they’ll also be releasing a bonus ep for those who pre-order the album and for those who purchase hard copy cds and vinyl at independent records stores in the u.s. and hmv in canada. that is clever marketing indeed broken social scene. for those who won’t fall into either aforementioned categories, you can listen to the bonus ep on npr.

the band ‘s fourth album is slated to come out my 4th with appearances from pavement, tortoise, death from above 1979, feist, metric, and stars… daaaang. can.not.wait. to promote the album they are also slated to do three shows around the release in three select cites.
