it’s 1997. the icelandic wonder releases her fourth album and the knees of the world buckle. the album’s closer, “all is full of love”, was the album’s last single and the video is, hands down, one of the best. ever. chris cunningham, genius that he is, creates some of the most unforgettable images set to music this world has seen. gushing? absolutely.

michel gondry confirms musical with bjork

rumors have been whirling about a new collaboration between vision extraordinaire michel gondry and musical freak talent bjork. michel gondry stated at sxsw the rumors are tah-rue! he told playlist, “we have a very ambitious project, a sort of scientific musical. … [it's a movie], but maybe more for museums. like a 40 minute imax project in 3d.” 3-motherf*in d?! i love 2010.

designer for bjork, david bowie, and the duke spirit commits suicide

40-year-old alex mcqueen, acclaimed fashion designer, was found hanging at his home this morning. he designed the cover for bjork’s homogenic and david bowie’s earthling. mostly recently he worked with the duke spirit and lady gaga. he was the head designer of givency in the late 90s and then became creative director of gucci for some time. queen elizabeth II even made him a commander for the british empire for his fashion leadership in 2003. he was a genius and an icon and he will be greatly missed.

bjork and michel gondry together again

bjork and michel gondry have done music videos together before, but according to entertainment weekly, michel gondry let the cat out of the bag about a non-music video project with the cooky lady. bjork has apparently sworn off acting after dancer in the dark, but she’s unpredictable is she not. let’s hope all is right with the world and these two talents do something to blow our minds.
