galaxie 500 – on fire – strange
it’s 1989. the new york city trio releases their second and second to last studio album. it is arguably their best. there are definite influences from the velvet underground on this album and on fire was revered in the uk. this particular song is an all time favorite and if i can’t listen to the pixies, i run for this album. they unfortunately broke up after their third album in 1991.

the london boys are releasing their debut album next month. this new video for their single “the greeks”, directed by the french directing team megaforce, is one fun kids’ romp. it mixes live action with animation and makes toy guns look pretty badass. watching cute kids do naughty things never gets old, especially when it looks this good. enjoy.
