sky blue sky is the name of wilco’s sixth album and the name of a sandwich shop in toronto. the matching names are a coincidence, says the shop owner, chad comfort, but if you want to order a sandwich, you’ll be ordering it by the name of a wilco song, “kingpin”, “say you miss me”, “one wing”, “sonny feeling”, and more. i mean the jokes are endless here, but how cool is that?
may is going to be a huuuuge month this year. it is chock-full of highly anticipated release after highly anticipated release. among said releases is lcd soundsystem’s next album. amen, hallelujah! (not the name of the album, just me rejoicing) the album will be out may 18th and the track list is below.

will gregory, goldfrapp producer, and adrian utley, portishead producer and multi-instrumentalist, are collaborating on a new score for the 1928 french silent film, the passion of joan of arc, by carl theodor dreyer. this is not the first time a new score has been created for this film. in fact, artists and lovers of the film have been scoring this classic for decades. this latest version will premiere at colston hall in bristol, england may 7th.
